Education & Work

My research career developed through the convergence of two foundations: understanding environmental technologies as engineered devices and processes, and evaluating them as parts of larger systems. Experimental research established technical depth, two years in industry added an applied perspective, and research at CML integrated those foundations through prospective industrial ecology. My current work applies the resulting approach to technologies, facilities, and services in sustainable healthcare.
